Airing for 12 seasons between 2007 and 2019, the US show followed the daily lives of physicists Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki), who share an apartment across the hall from Penny (Cuoco).

While stopping by The Jennifer Hudson Show recently, the actress was asked about raising her nine-month-old daughter. As it turns out, the little one enjoys music so much that her famous mum tested out the Barenaked Ladies’ Big Bang theme song on Matilda.

“I turned [the TV] on one day and she sat there, loved it,” Cuoco told Hudson, while adding that the baby “bops to everything”.

“She’s so precious. She is so beyond, she just started saying, ‘Uh oh’ and it’s the funniest thing. I’m convinced that she says it at the correct time, like something will drop and she’ll hear something on TV and goes, ‘uh oh’. She says ‘uh oh’ because she knows what it means.”

Next came the most important question of all: did Matilda take her intelligence from Cuoco?

“Yes, the genius, of course!” the Flight Attendant star laughed. “The ‘uh oh’ and the genius, and the big eyes. Tom [Pelphrey] always says she’s got my crazy eyes. She’s got big eyes.”

In other news, Cuoco revealed back in August that she’d developed carpal tunnel syndrome from holding Matilda.

Her personal trainer Ryan Sorenson commented at the time: “Since having her baby @kaleycuoco has been suffering with what’s called carpal tunnel syndrome, basically numbness and tingling in the hands and arms from a pinched nerve… mostly due to holding the baby.

“So, other than laying off her workouts, we just adjust and make them more about lower body and core work. Always finding ways to work around these things and most importantly no excuses!”
