Heartbreaking! Sad news about General Hospital Star Ronnie Bard !! It will shock everyone.

Erika Slezak’s Final General Hospital Episode Revealed — And Could Ronnie Return?
Six-time Daytime Emmy winner Erika Slezak has officially wrapped her three-week guest stint on General Hospital, with her final episode as Veronica “Ronnie” Barret airing November 6. The beloved soap icon, best known for her 41-year run as Victoria Lord Buchanan on One Life to Live, made a rare return to daytime television—and quickly reminded fans why she remains one of the genre’s most respected talents.

A Short Stay With Lasting Impact
Slezak’s role as Ronnie brought Monica Quartermaine’s long-lost sister into the thick of Port Charles drama. Her exit comes as Ronnie returns home to North Carolina with money Monica left her to start fresh—once Tracy discovered Martin Grey’s scheme to mislead her about the Quartermaine mansion.
Despite the brief stay, Slezak describes the experience as deeply rewarding.
“It’s been very, very nice,” she told TV Insider ahead of her debut on September 26. “The story and the character are so completely different. I was always Viki—confident and strong. This is a totally different character, and I’m trying to find my way through it. I think they seem happy.”
A Masterclass in Collaboration
One of the biggest draws for Slezak was the chance to work closely with daytime legends Jane Elliot (Tracy Quartermaine) and Genie Francis (Laura Collins).
She recalls meeting Elliot years ago at One Life to Live:
“I went over and introduced myself and we chatted. She’s a wonderfully delightful lady. It’s amazing that she can play so mean!”
When executive producer Frank Valentini told her she’d be working extensively with Elliot, Slezak’s answer was immediate:
“‘Yes, I will do it.’ Because that would be such a treat to work with such a talented, terrific lady. Jane is a masterclass in acting.”
Her time with Genie Francis was equally memorable:
“I hadn’t seen Genie since we were backstage at The View years ago. She was wonderful—and so nice.”
A Warm Welcome Back to Daytime
Slezak hadn’t acted on a soap since the 2013 One Life to Live reboot, but she found the GH environment refreshingly familiar.
“I will take away lovely, wonderful memories because I was treated so well and so kindly,” she reflected. “One Life was my family for years, and I’m going to take that away from here, too. This was my family for a short time.”
Could Ronnie Return to Port Charles?
Fans wondering whether Ronnie’s story is truly finished may have reason to hope.
Slezak is more than open to revisiting the role:
“Ronnie grew through this whole process and learned. And yes, I would be open to coming back.”
Executive producer Frank Valentini echoed that sentiment in an exclusive statement to TV Insider:
“We thoroughly loved having Erika here, and the door is open for her to return.”
