Jane Kilcher joined Bering Sea Gold before ‘unfortunate Atz Lee Kilcher divorce’ news
Bering Sea Gold viewers may be confused to see Jane Kilcher appearing on the Discovery series’ current episodes. These days she’s a full-time cast member on the show alongside Emily Riedel. But, before becoming a BSG star, Jane rose to fame on another Discovery show – Alaska: The Last Frontier.
Jane hopped over from one reality TV show to another. All the while, she’s been going through lots of different things in her personal life including a divorce she describes on social media as “very unfortunate.” It seems that Bering Sea Gold viewers often have something to say about the star, but she thanks any “trolls” for keeping her “relevant.”
When did Jane Kilcher join Bering Sea Gold?
Discovery Channel fans were used to seeing Jane Kilcher on Alaska: The Last Frontier alongside her family from 2011 to 2022.
However, she made the move over to Bering Sea Gold last year.
Jane first appeared in season 15 episode 6 when Emily prepared her to take charge of The Eroica in her absence.
Now, she’s a part of the Bering Sea Gold 2023 cast as a member of Team Emily.
Jane ‘lost her best friend’
As Jane shifted over from her original reality show to Bering Sea Gold, she also had a lot of things going on in her personal life.
After marrying in 2006, she and Atz Lee Kilcher are seemingly no longer together.
Jane took to Facebook on July 23 to share a selfie captioned: “Here we go. Atz Lee is divorcing me and it is very unfortunate but I cannot control it. Lost my best friend and it hurts but I guess that is life . It won’t stop me.”
She also shared a more recent post captioned: “Single” on November 1.
Jane Kilcher talks ‘revenge body’
Since she’s been starring on Bering Sea Gold, Jane has had to deal with online ‘trolls’ commenting on her appearance. She slammed some ‘trolls’ insults earlier in the year but is now sending them “thanks” for “keeping her relevant.”
The Discovery star also shared a Facebook status about the “pressures” of being on the show.
Commenting on a Facebook photo of herself from October 6, Jane explained that she’s lost around 25lb.
Her comment reads:
“…From my divorce and from honestly the pressure of being ridiculed and trolled on social media as someone too chubby to be on TV. Like what??? Wow! I did have covid times & stress weight gain- but I got rid of it. I think its called a revenge body??? Lol ..And I wanted to be as healthy as possible since I am already such a heathen.”
