General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Eva LaRue, who most recently played Natalia Ramirez on the ABC soap, recently shared chilling details of a twelve year period of stalking.
“The letters were absolutely terrifying,” LaRue, 58, revealed in an exclusive preview for Us Weekly of the Tuesday, September 2, episode of the “Soapy” podcast.
Eva Will Never Forget The Fear She Felt When A Stalker Tried To Connect With Her And Her Daughter
Eva LaRue will always remember the terror she experienced when a stalker attempted to reach her, as she recounted on the “Soapy” podcast. “They were fixated on how he planned to kidnap me and my daughter, keep us as sex slaves, try to impregnate me, and then rape and dismember my daughter.
It was entirely about dismembering us and concealing the remains while keeping us as captives; it was absolutely insane-this lasted for 12 years.” At that time, the actress — who has a daughter named Kaya, 23, with her ex-husband Joe Cappuccio — was involved in the CSI franchise, specifically, CSI: Miami.
Eva’s Character Solved Crimes Every Episode, While The Real Version Struggled For Clues
While her character tackled crimes in each episode, LaRue mentioned that law enforcement was having a tough time locating the person behind the letters that could stretch up to six pages.
“I portrayed a DNA specialist on CSI,” LaRue shared with podcast hosts Rebecca Budig and Greg Rikaart. “We managed to solve every crime in just 43 minutes, yet in reality, the FBI couldn’t pinpoint this individual for 12 years.
This was due to the lack of technology that we were simulating on the show.” Even now, LaRue appreciates the advice from Sarah Michelle Gellar, who once suggested she purchase a house through an LLC to maintain her home address’s privacy.
The Stalker Tracked Down Where Her Daughter Went To School
LaRue remembered her saying, ‘It’s much simpler to purchase it through an LLC than to relocate overnight.’ ‘My name wasn’t linked to the house, which is why the letters started arriving at my manager’s place-the stalker didn’t have our precise address.’ Later in the podcast episode, set to be released in full on Tuesday, LaRue recounted the moment her stalker discovered where her daughter attended high school.
One afternoon, a call came in — allegedly from Kaya’s father — stating he was on his way to pick her up from school. The issue was that Kaya was driving herself to school at that time, and her father was several hours away.
Quick And Decisive Action Was Taken To Keep Eva And Kaya Safe
Once LaRue found out about the call, she quickly took action by picking up Kaya from school and booking a hotel room-the actress also notified the authorities.
“I had the same FBI agents for 12 years who were handling my case,” she mentioned prior to the call. “They informed me, ‘Your primary FBI agent just received a promotion a few weeks ago, and now you have two new FBI agents who will contact you tomorrow.’”
LaRue’s ordeal — culminating in the arrest and conviction of her stalker — is being transformed into a documentary titled My Nightmare Stalker: The Eva LaRue Story.

LaRue shared with Deadline in June upon the announcement; “Stalking represents a worldwide crisis, frequently accompanied by violence and enduring psychological harm. Unfortunately, many victims find themselves without justice due to inadequate laws, a lack of awareness, and the difficulties in proving these offenses.
I aspire for my story to enhance awareness and inspire significant changes in how authorities safeguard victims and seek justice;” the project is set to debut later this year on Paramount+.
