Emotional Breakdown: Sarah Ferguson ‘Shaken to the Core’ for Prince Andrew’s life as she’s worried he’s a ‘target
Sarah Ferguson is reportedly expressing “fears for Andrew Mountbatten Windsor’s life”, feeling as though he is a “target”. The 66-year-old still lives with Andrew, 65, at his 30-room Royal Lodge – with their eviction set to take place very soon.
The former couple have both been stripped of their titles over their connection to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, with Andrew’s princely title also having now been stripped. Although reports suggest that Sarah views herself as “blameless”, she has become concerned for her ex-husband’s life.
Speaking of Sarah and Andrew, a source recently said: “They have been heard having some pretty intense conversations about what is going on.
The source told the Daily Mail: “Sarah, in particular, is panicking about what comes next and she is not in a good place. She fears being caught in the crosshairs and is worried about herself and her and Andrew’s daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie.”
They added: “But she is particularly fearful for Andrew as she knows he was at the centre of the Epstein scandal. She has talked about ‘dark forces’ potentially targeting him.”
It remains unclear when Sarah and Andrew, who divorced in 1996, will leave Royal Lodge, but Buckingham Palace confirmed that they will be moving out of the property on October 30.
The process is understood to be complex and could take several months.
Andrew’s relocation could occur after Christmas to avoid any awkward run-ins with the royals.
The disgraced royal is set to spend the festive period alone as Sarah is considering taking up invitations from friends abroad.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie could be set to spend Christmas with the royals at Sandringham, although this is yet to be confirmed.
