B&B Recap: Hope Fears For Steffy and Finn’s Marriage — and Finn Doesn’t Want to Stay In the House
Monday, March 11, 2024: Today on The Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy and Finn talk, Zende daydreams about Luna as she spends time with RJ, and Thomas and Hope discuss Sheila’s death.
At the cliff house, Steffy comforts Finn, telling him he had a really bad dream and is safe now. Finn stammers that it felt very real. He can’t stop hearing Sheila beg for his help. Steffy embraces him. Steffy tells Finn it kills her to see him in pain. She didn’t want this, but it all happened so fast. Finn knows, but he can’t deny how he’s feeling. After everything she’s done to them, it doesn’t make sense that he feels this connection to Sheila. He can’t imagine how Steffy’s feeling and is worried about her. He knows she had no choice, “But I can’t imagine the toll this is taking on you.” Steffy tears up and nods.
At Forrester, Thomas notices Hope is distracted while they work. He asks, “Where’d you go?” Hope can’t shake this feeling — she’s really worried about Steffy and Finn’s marriage. Thomas reflects on what his sister is going through and feels one good thing came out of it — Sheila’s dead.
In the design office, Zende flashes to sex with Luna. He gazes at her photo on the intern sheet as Carter sneaks in behind him and says, “She’s impressive.” Zende startles. Carter says Luna is talented and very special. Zende smiles but looks conflicted. Carter goes on that Luna will have a bright future there. He recalls when Zende was interning. Zende says they were good times. Carter jokes that he couldn’t make a coffee to save his life. He thinks Luna’s just as impressive as Zende was, but feels no one is more impressed with her than RJ. His face lights up when she walks into the room. Zende says RJ isn’t the only one impressed with Luna. He gushes about her. Carter thinks he’ll be working with her more often and get to know her better. Zende would like that a lot. Once alone, Zende thinks back to the night Luna was in his bed.
In RJ’s beach house, he asks Luna if she’s ready for her first night swim and teases that the sharks are usually calmer after dark. Luna appreciates that he’s always trying to make her laugh and stay positive. She’s lucky to have him. RJ thinks he’s lucky; she’s beautiful and perfect. Luna doesn’t want to lose him. RJ urges her to relax and clear her mind as they swim. Maybe she’ll realize things aren’t as bad as she thinks they are. He doesn’t want to pry, but is always there to help. They head outside.
When RJ and Luna come in from their swim, she admits it was a little scary. RJ will always be there to protect her, and make her feel secure and happy. He tells her she changed his life. RJ wants to ensure she always feels secure and loved. Luna wishes they were never apart. They kiss. RJ asks if she’d like to stay over. She was hoping he’d ask. They kiss some more. RJ tells Luna he loves being with her; he can be himself around her. Plus, she finds his corny jokes sexy. She teases that she finds them corny, but he’s sexy. “I never want to be away from you.” She’s never met someone more honest and loyal. He returns the compliment. Luna asks him to never doubt how much she loves him. They kiss and cuddle.
At the cliff house, Steffy doesn’t want this to come between her and Finn. He muses that her family thinks she killed an animal, but it was his birth mother. He knows she’s struggling. Steffy is dealing with her own demons and what she did. She recalls that she told Sheila she wanted her dead and thought about it a lot. She just never wanted to take a life. Finn hugs her as she frets.
Steffy worries if she opens up to Finn, he’ll run out again. He promises he won’t. Steffy says when she thinks of how Sheila tormented her family… she knew what she would have to do to protect her loved ones, but when her knife went into Sheila, she didn’t feel rage or relief, “I felt anguish.” She took a life. “Yes, it was self-defense, but I killed someone.” She worries Finn will never look at her the same way again.
At Forrester, Thomas doesn’t care what Finn is feeling right now. Sheila terrorized their families for years and she deserved what she got. He tells Hope he doesn’t have the sympathy for Finn that she has. Steffy is freaking out right now and needs her husband to be there, but he’s mourning the loss of the woman who tried to kill her! He needs to get over it right now and be there for Steffy. He doesn’t mean to be insensitive, but Sheila shot both of their mothers. Now that she’s dead, they can all breathe. Hope tells Thomas he’s not being insensitive; she loves that he’s being a protective brother. Although it doesn’t make sense to them, the connection Finn is feeling to Sheila is very real. Thomas reiterates that Steffy needs him. She says Finn needs her too. She worries that they won’t be able to be there for each other and that Sheila’s death has jeopardized Steffy and Finn’s marriage.
At the cliff house, Finn tells Steffy he wants to be there for her, but hearing her talk about taking Sheila’s life and knowing it happened in their house, “It’s just… it’s a lot.” It makes him feel like he’s going to have another panic attack and like the house is haunted. He hates feeling this way. Finn loves Steffy and the kids. This is their house and he hates feeling like he has to leave because of what happened there. Steffy can’t imagine going through this without him. “I need my husband Finn. I need you.” Finn holds her in his arms as tears run down her cheeks.
