Angelina Jolie was the very definition of elegance on the red carpet of the 2024 Venice Film Festival

Angelina Jolie was left in tears after a ten-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival after the premiere of Maria, and the actress was the definition of chic in a long beige dress with a fur detail.
The Oscar winner attended the premiere of her upcoming film “Maria” and after the screening she was greeted with such a stormy and long applause that she was particularly touched by it.
Jolie was escorted down the theater steps to a standing ovation and was seen wiping tears from her face.

The clip, published by Italy’s Vanity Fair, shows Angelina wiping away tears and receiving a hug from the films co-star Pierfrancesco Favino.
The actress arrived on the red carpet wearing a cool beige chiffon dress with a fur detail, designed by Tamara Ralph, an Australian designer.

Jolie is particularly fond of the brand and has worn Ralph’s designs to several red carpet events in the past. The cinched waist and color were inspired by Callas’ style.
“I decided not to copy Maria’s look because her Venetian rugs were stunning, so I made a little tribute to her – in a different way,” she told Vogue, wearing her Cartier brooch from 1971.

“You can imagine how special it is to wear a piece of jewelry that was hers,” she added.
The film’s director, Pablo Larraín, along with the film’s cast members, also attended the premiere.

“Maria” is a biographical film in which Jolie plays Maria Callas, one of the world’s greatest opera singers. The film is set in Paris in the 1970s and tells the story of Callas’ tragic and turbulent life and chronicles her final days. /Telegraph/
