The relationship between William, Kate Middleton, and Andrew and his ex-wife, Fergie, isn’t great these days. The former couple’s latest scandals involving Jeffrey Epstein have seen the British royal family try to distance itself from the two for good. But reportedly, the relationship between William and Fergie has never exactly been warm.
Proof of that is that even though Andrew Mountbouten Windsor and his daughter, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, attended William’s wedding to Kate Middleton, Sarah Ferguson did not. That is despite the fact that, at one point, Ferguson was quite close to William’s late mother, Princess Diana.
In 2011, the former Duchess of York spoke about it in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, saying: “I was not invited, and I chose to go and be in Thailand in a place called Camelia and…the jungle embraced me.”
That’s not all, Fergie also addressed her feelings about the snub. “It was so difficult. I wanted to be there with my girls, and to be getting them dressed and to go as a family,” she said, adding, “And also, it was so hard because the last bride up that aisle was me.”

Fergie went on to say it made her feel “worthless” but she also said she was reassured by Andrew at the time.
William and Kate have made no direct comments about Andrew or Fergie, but the two have reportedly been trying to keep their distance from them for a while. In fact, William was reportedly very involved in the decision to evict both of them from Royal Lodge.
However, at the time, reports indicated Kate wasn’t so sure kicking them out was the right choice, with reports calling it a “heartbreaking dilemma” for her. “Kate is panicked that more sordid bombshells might come out if the Yorks are pushed too far.
And it seems like she wasn’t the only one. “Charles feels he cannot allow the family name to be tarnished further,” the source continued. “At the same time, he’s very aware of the risks. The Yorks are unpredictable, and there’s real concern about what they might do next.”
Including, perhaps, his own tell-all memoir? Reports indicated the King “worries if the Yorks are pushed, Andrew might retaliate.”
There’s real fear he could go down the same path as Prince Harry,” the source explained. “Andrew has already talked bout writing a memoir before. It could be devastating.”
All of this comes after The Express reported that Fergie has an “appetite for revenge” and is “not happy” with King Charles‘ decision to evict her and Andrew.
TalkTV host Mark Dolan said on SkyNews, “She feels that she’s been thrown under the bus, that it was Andrew’s ill-advised relationship with the disgraced ex-financier, and therefore, she’s got the record to set straight. She needs the cash, and it’s very possible that she will sign a million-dollar deal to spill the beans… The big problem is for Charles because this whole scandal threatens to taint his entire reign as monarch.”
