Jack Brennan was supposed to be gone. Instead, he appeared at Carly Spencer’s door in the middle of a violent rainstorm, soaked in mud, barely standing and carrying a story that could destroy Drew Cain and Ava Jerome.

His survival did more than expose a failed murder attempt. It handed Carly and Jason the one advantage Drew never expected them to have.

Brennan Walks Back Into Carly’s Life

The scene played like a thriller. With rain pounding outside Carly’s home, Brennan suddenly appeared at her door looking as though he had clawed his way out of the earth.

According to Brennan’s account, that description was not far from reality. He revealed that after being left for dead, he had ultimately been buried in the Port Charles nature preserve.

His unexpected rescue came from perhaps the least likely hero in the entire story: Outback the dog, whose digging reportedly led to Brennan being discovered.

The absurdity of the rescue only made the larger revelation more unsettling. Someone had tried very hard to make Brennan disappear.

Brennan Points the Finger at Drew and Ava

Once inside Carly’s home, Brennan described what he said Drew and Ava had done to him.

He accused them of attempting to kill him, placing his body in the Metro Court pool, moving him through the hotel in a laundry cart and eventually burying him while he was still alive.

Even more damaging was Brennan’s claim that Drew planted his wallet in Nina Reeves’ car, apparently creating evidence that could shift suspicion away from the people actually responsible.

If Brennan’s account becomes public, the cover-up may be far more dangerous to Drew and Ava than the original attack.

Jason Learns How Far Drew Has Fallen

Jason’s reaction adds another emotional layer to the General Hospital storyline.

For years, Jason has lived with the consequences of being viewed as the dangerous brother, while Drew often occupied the more respectable moral position. Brennan’s accusations turn that contrast upside down.
