Breaking News: Princess Anne receives happy news as son Peter Phillips make big announcement

The royal family is anticipated to mark a delightful family celebration, especially after facing a year marred with scandals and controversies, owing to King Charles’s eldest nephew.

Peter Phillips, who marked 48th birthday recently, will be marrying a second time as he announced his engagement to NHS nurse Harriet Sperling in July.

While the official date of the wedding has not yet been disclosed, a former royal staffer believes that the planning for the nuptials are already underway.

A lot has changed in the royal family with the times, especially in terms of tradition, but the King’s former butler Grant Harrold suggested that Peter will be keeping one key traditional aspect for his big day.

“I think he’ll still want to do things even though he’s the divorcee,” Grant told Daily Mail. “I still think it will be a full-blown white wedding affair.”

He explained that times are “very different” now and historically for royal weddings, if one was remarrying, it had to be a “much more low key affair.

Meanwhile, the bride-to-be herself is religious Christian and has spoken about drawing strength from faith during tough times in her life.

Peter and Harriet have been dating since May 2024, but had informed King Charles and Queen Camilla about their intention to marry before making the announcement to the public.

Prince William and Princess Kate were also “informed” of the happy news.
